MY OPERATION!

On December 15th i had my operation to place my catheter in my abdomen cavity. The surgery went well and i started my recuperation. I am given more than 4 weeks to recover.

DIALYSIS!
Every 7 days after my operation Keith and i go to Kamloops hospital so that i can get my catheter flushed out. I went on Tuesday December the 23, 2014 and had it flushed out and my bandages were changed around my incision. They also did dialysis on me!!! They only put half of the solution into my abdomen area, left it in for a few minutes and then drained it out again. The solution going into me was ok and actually it did not bother me at all. The emptying of the solution was another story. Boy did that hurt near the end!!! When it started draining i was sitting on the bed, she suggested that i let my legs hang over the edge of the bed but that did not help the pain at all so she suggested that i stand up. I did and it helped a little. The nurse then weighed both of the bags to see it it was all accounted for, there was still 100 ml left to be emptied out of me. I then had to put all of my weight on my left foot and then switch it to my right foot and continue rotating my weight on my feet,. Shortly afterward it was all done! The nurse reassured me that it would only hurt for the first little while. As time goes my body would get used to the empty feeling. All in all Keith and i are amazed at the technology that the Lord has allowed to be done here on this earth!
I get this done every week until January 20, 2015. On January 20, 2015 Keith and i have a four day course in Kamloops hospital to show us step by step how to administer this Peritoneal Dialysis ourselves at home.
The Lord has given us both the patience and has given me healing day by day, in which we are very grateful! We ask that you continue to pray for full healing for me, and that we will adjust to this new way of living in the future. Most of all we ask that you pray for the Lord to find a kidney match for me and that in His time i may have a kidney transplant!
At this time we would also like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and may the Lord bless and guide each and everyone of you in 2015!
We love you all and thank you for your love and prayers!
